5 in 5: Kali Hulme, CWTC's Bookings Administrator. To formally introduce her, here are 5 questions in 5 minutes with the woman herself.

Q. Nickname? 

Somehow... K-Dawg.

Q. Why do you love what you do?

I get to help CWTC deliver programming that I believe in. I also love working in a small business with good people at one of Melbourne's most beautiful historic locations - the Abbotsford Convent.

Q. What was your first experience of live theatre, and what continues to draw you to it? 

My mum used to work for the Queensland Performing Arts Centre, as a producer on the Children's theatre festival Out of the Box. Between the age of two and five I seemed to be the resident test audience for kids shows. Some of my image memories from this time are: a slapstick scene where an actor attempted to put-out a cooking fire; a dream-like set of dancing pyjamas; playing with the puppet doll from the TV show Lift-off (not strictly theatre, but a perk). My strongest memory from this time is of Joseph and The Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat, which I snuck into and watched from the aisle about five times. Obviously I still have the audio tape of that production, and Jason's hair is what continues to draw me to live theatre. (I recommend googling 'jason donovan joseph and the amazing technicolor dreamcoat'.)

Q. What’s your favourite book or movie of all time, and why did it speak to you so much?

Bridget Jones' Diary. I worked in very literary bookshops for over ten years though, so hopefully everyone got distracted googling Jason Donovan and will reserve judgment on me for my answer.

Q. Who would play you in a movie of your life?

Meryl. Or our Cate. Probably a CGI version of the two.
